MIAMI – One of the most anticipated rematches in recent UFC history will unfold on Saturday when rivals Alex Pereira and Israel Adesanya collide once again in the UFC 287 headliner.
Despite Pereira (7-1 MMA, 4-0 UFC) owning a 3-0 advantage in head-to-head matchups between kickboxing and MMA, the actual fights have seen Adesanya (23-2 MMA, 12-2 UFC) have much success and be on the cusp of winning more than once.
That’s what makes it all the more intriguing as they prepare for a possible final encounter, which goes down at Kaseya Center and airs on pay-per-view following prelims on ESPN and ESPN+.
Will Pereira be able to show once again that he has Adesanya’s number and stay perfect in their series? Or will “The Last Stylebender” finally solve the puzzle and get the thorn out of his side?
That’s what notable fighters from UFC 287 debated when asked for their predictions during Wednesday media day.
Check out the video above to see who fellow fighters expect to leave with middleweight gold when Pereira and Adesanya share the octagon at UFC 287.
