Maya Jama returned to the villa for the last time this season to announce the winners of Love Island 2024.
It’s been a turbulent season, marked by the surprise appearance of a celebrity face – Joey Essex – in a regular season of Love Island.
The drama culminated in seeing four couples make it to the final: Welsh duo Ciaran and Nicole, candy-sweet couple Matilda and Sean, calm pairing of Mimii and Josh, and last but not least Jess and Ayo.
This came after Joey and Jess were sent home by returning Islanders, coming back from earlier in the same season.
However, it was down to the public to vote and decide who would be crowned the victor of Love Island 2024.
Who won Love Island 2024?
The public chose Mimii and Josh as the winning couple of 2024, followed (in order) by Ciaran and Nicole, Matilda and Sean, and Jess and Ayo.

The crowd of islanders and friends in the villa burst into applause and cheered when Mimii and Josh were announced as winners, but the couple themselves seemed to be in shock.
Maya asked Mimii if she could believe it, with the Islander replying: “No, what the hell?”, adding that she felt “overwhelmed”.
Josh followed this up by thanking the public for their votes, saying: “Thank you everyone, we love you.”
As well as being crowned the best couple in the villa, the pair will also take home £50,000.
Mimii and Josh were not one of the longest-running couples, which is often a characteristic of a winning couple. While Mimii was an OG Islander since week one, Josh came in as a bombshell – and turned her head.
The 29-year-old footballer from Dartford immediately set his sights on Mimii and made it clear that she was his top priority.
While Mimii initially had some unresolved past with Ayo, both he and Mimii quickly resolved to make time for their respective new pairings – and it clearly paid off, with both of them making it to the final and appearing completely loved up.
