Who won Love Island 2022? Ekin-Su and Davide crowned winners beating Gemma and Luca

Ekin-Su Culculoglu and Davide Sanclimenti have won Love Island 2022.

The couple had been up against Gemma Owen and Luca Bish, Tasha Ghouri and Andrew Le Page, and Indiyah Polack and Dami Hope in the battle take home the £50,000 prize.

Ekin-Su and Davide looked visibly shocked as host Laura Whitmore announced their names as this year's winner.

In the public vote, Andrew and Tasha came fourth, followed by Dami and Indiyah who came third. That left, Ekin-Su and Davide and Gemma and Luca.

However, the public chose Ekin-Su and Davide as their 2022 Love Island winners.

Earlier in the episode, the Love Island finalists enjoyed a "small class of hot Latin dance" before declaring their feelings for their partners in heartfelt speeches.

The villa garden was transformed for the Love Island 2022 summer ball, with the islanders arriving in their best outfits, armed with their declarations for their partners.

One by one each of the contestants shared their deepest thoughts and feelings in romantic speeches for their partners, leading to passionate embraces and tears of joy.

Andrew told Tasha: "I really can't wait for the future for us, we have so much to look forward to and so many dreams to conquer." Gemma said to Luca: "From the minute you walked in, straight away I knew you had something special about you."

Indiyah brought Dami to tears after she told him: "I'm amazed and over the moon that I'm standing here, having found my perfect partner who I adore." And Ekin-Su did not hold back, telling Davide: "I love everything about you, you're my soulmate."
