Who won Love Island 2022? Couples who made the final and who took £50K prize

Love Island 2022 didn't leave fans disappointed.

The eighth series was full of drama, bombshells and fiery romances, and saw some truly iconic moments.

From Adam Collard 's controversial second entrance into the Love Island villa, to Andrew Le Page 's viral "I sucked her t**s or whatever" line after the shocking Casa Amor fallout, there's plenty of moments that will go down in Love Island history.

The show also produced some strong couples.

Dami and Indiyah, Tasha and Andrew, Davide and Ekin-Su, and Gemma and Luca all made it to the final, and all four couples were in a strong place in their relationships as the series came to an end.

But only one couple could be crowned the winner and the prize money went to one of the most popular pairs to ever enter the Love Island villa.

Here's everything you need to know about who won Love Island 2022 and where the other finalists placed.

Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Davide Sanclimenti were crowned the winners of Love Island 2022.

The pair came top in the public vote and walked away with the £50,000 prize money, although fans were left disappointed when for the first time ever the split or steal element of the show was scrapped, with the winning couple being handed the money instead.

Ekin-Su and Davide's relationship was straight out of a romance novel, full of ups and downs as the pair went from lovers to enemies and back to lovers again.

There was some fiery moments between them, including Davide's iconic "You are a liar, actress, go the f**k out!" line and Ekin-Su's terrace-crawling antics.

But their spark was undeniable and viewers loved the pair together after they rekindled their romance.

As the final approached, Davide and Ekin-Su appeared to be the most popular couple in Love Island history with the bookies putting their probability of winning higher than any Love Island couple has ever been.

Who came runner-up in Love Island 2022?

Gemma and Luca came in second place (ITV)

Gemma Owen and Luca Bish came in second place during the 2022 Love Island final.

The pair had been together since early on in the series and unlike some of the other Islanders, they stayed loyal to each other throughout.

But their romance was subject to controversy when Luca was accused of being "controlling" over Gemma after he accused her of flirting with other boys.

He was also criticised for "bullying" Tasha.

Not long before the final, Luca and Gemma had an explosive argument but were able to get past the disagreement before the show came to an end.

In third place was Dami and Indiyah.

Dami and Indiyah were one of the favourite couples in the villa, until Casa Amor.

Dami was slammed for his disrespectful behaviour during Casa Amor as he chose to couple up with new girl Summer.

The pair eventually got back together but fans still weren't happy with Dami and he was also accused of "bullying" Tasha as well as flirting with Paige Thorne.

In fourth place was Tasha and Andrew.

Tasha and Andrew had a bumpy ride in the villa, particularly during Casa Amor, which saw Andrew turn into the "villain" of series eight.

But the couple found their way back to each other, and although viewers found them "boring" at times, by the final they seemed to have won fans over.

However, fans were shocked to see the couple, who had been paired together by viewers during the first episode, come in fourth place.
