We are a full month into the college football season and we are starting to get a much better idea of who the top quarterbacks are in the country. It also gives us a better understanding of who the top quarterbacks are in the 2025 NFL draft.
Right now we have three quarterbacks with a first-round grade and the differences between them in terms of grades are relatively small. Georiga’s Carson Beck has been most pundits’ quarterback No. 1 coming into the season, and he remains there.
Along with Beck, Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders is the most polarizing player in this entire draft. I struggle to see Sanders as a franchise quarterback but it only takes one team to fall for his arm talent and use a top pick in him.
Our dark horse quarterback to crack the first round and potentially overtake both of them is Miami’s Cam Ward. He’s been the most impressive signal caller in the country.
There is also a nice group of guys outside of the Big Three including Texas’ Quinn Ewers, Alabama’s Jalen Milroe and Mississippi’s Jaxson Dart.
