Viewers were left in stitches after Good Morning Britain presenter Richard Madeley appeared on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? Celebrity Special edition and referred to Jeremy Clarkson as 'Chris', referring to the show's previous host Chris Tarrant, who fronted it for 16 years.
The general knowledge quiz show, which aired Sunday evening on ITV at 9pm, saw the 66-year-old initially go to sit in Jeremy's seat before taking part in the show to raise money for two charities: Cornwall Air Ambulance and the St Francis Hospice in Essex.
The mishap occurred when Richard answered the question: "Which of these abbreviations is used when someone wants something done immediately?" With answers including 'ASAP', 'YMCA', 'BYOB' or 'HMRC', Richard quickly said: "I shall answer as soon as possible, Chris, it's A, final answer."

Astounded, Jeremy replied: "I'm not Chris". Richard seemed taken aback but did not let it bother him as he said, with a laugh: "Oh! Does that happen a lot?" The pair were seen chuckling to one another, cracking up at Richard's mistake, with Jeremy saying to the audience: "This is going to be great!" before Richard added: "I go into your seat, I call you by your predecessor... what's going on?"
Later in the show, the father-of-two revealed that his wife Judy - with whom Richard previously presented This Morning and popular show Richard & Judy for a number of years - had told him: "Whatever you do, don't call him Chris.'"
Enjoying it, Jeremy joked: "Okay Piers", referring to fellow broadcaster and former Good Morning Britain presenter Piers Morgan. Viewers of the show were quick to share their delight.
