Four new pro dancers have joined the Strictly cast for 2022 and one that’s got everyone talking from the get-go is Vito Coppola.
This year saw the exit of two of Strictly’s much loved pros, former champions Oti Mabuse, who won in 2019 with Kelvin Fletcher and then again a year later with Bill Bailey and then Aljaz Škorjanec, a winner in 2013 alongside Abbey Clancy.
That meant there was room for new faces in the Strictly ranks and one of the new pros for the new series is Vito.
He immediately caught the eye of the millions of viewers who tuned into Friday’s launch show, with interest in him climbing even higher when he was paired with early bookies favourite to lift the Glitterball trophy this year, Fleur East.

Fleur looked absolutely delighted at finding out her partner was Vito and the hotly tipped couple made quite a first impression on Saturday, when they dance a cha cha cha to Jennifer Lopez’s Let’s Get Loud in the first live show, although some fans claimed that Fleur was undermarked by the judges.
Who is Vito Coppola on Strictly?
Vito, 30, is a three-time World Championship finalist and European Cup winner.
He is also now stranger to a TV dance contest having won the Italian version of Strictly in 2031 with popstar Arisa.
Talking. about becoming part of the Strictly family, Vito said: “ “I am really excited to become part of this family."
He added: "I cannot wait to start this new adventure and to challenge myself. Strictly sto arrivando! (translated to: Strictly I am coming!)”
