The Philadelphia Eagles will host the Kansas City Chiefs for Super Bowl 59 in New Orleans on Sunday.
The Eagles look to win their first trophy in the Jalen Hurts era, but the Kansas City Chiefs will make their third consecutive and fourth Super Bowl appearance in five years.
Several performances will be held before the massive matchup, including “Lift Every Voice and Sing.” Grammy award-winning singer and songwriter Ledisi will perform the song on the field.
Ledisi, a New Orleans native, is known for her sultry sound that spans multiple decades and across 11 albums. In 2020, she took home the Grammy for Best Traditional R&B Performance for a song entitled “Anything for You.” Ledisi is also best known for playing Mahalia Jackson in the 2014 film Selma.
Otis Jones will perform alongside Ledisi in American Sign Language (ASL).
