Who is Sandi Toksvig's wife and how many children does she have?

TV presenter, writer and comedian Sandi Toksvig is well known for presenting programmes including Great British Bakeoff, which she left in 2020 and has since been replaced by Comedian Matt Lucas.

The 63-year-old has gone on to present QI and Extraordinary Escapes with Sandi Toksvig.

The new series of Extraordinary Escapes began this month and is continuing for the rest of February and into March, too.

Who is Sandi Toksvig’s wife and how many children do they have?

Sandi Toksvig is married to her wife Debbie Toksvig. Together, the couple share three children.

In an interview with Good Housekeeping, Sandi said ‘’the number one thing in my whole life is my children and I want to be there for them.”

Sandi opened up about her weight loss journey and explained that it was sparked by her wife’s concern about her health.

Sandi has been open about the history of heart attacks in her family.

The comedian lost a significant amount of weight as she slimmed down from a size 22 to a size 10 in just one year! Tokvig’s also said ‘’my dad died of a massive heart attack when he was 59, as he didn't look after himself. My brother had a heart attack [a few years] ago … and you start thinking.’’

When does Extraordinary Escapes air on TV?

Extraordinary Escapes is back for a second series of the programme, where she will tour the country to search for the best escapes in some of Britain’s most remote and unique areas.

This week’s episode of Extraordinary Escapes will feature comedian and presenter Sarah Millican as she joins Sandi for the programme.

Sandi will be joined by various different funny and famous women throughout this new series of Extraordinary Escapes.

The brand new season of the adventure programme started on Thursday 17th February and continues weekly for six complete episodes every Thursday at 9 pm on Channel 4.

The first series is available to watch on Channel 4’s online streaming service, All4. The new series will also be available to watch there.
