Arsenal have acquired the services of the Premier League's director of football.
Richard Garlick will leave his current role to take up a new post at the Gunners as their new director of football operations.
According to the Athletic, Garlick will move on from his Premier League role later in 2021, having taken up the position in the summer of 2018.
He will succeed Huss Fahmy and help to deal with player contracts and negotiations, a role that has also been held by Dick Law before him.
Garlick will also work closely with Arsenal's technical director Edu.
Who is Richard Garlick?
Garlick is the director of football at the Premier League.
He oversees football operations, football relations, youth development, coaching, and young player education.
Before taking up the Premier League role, he spent eight years at West Brom.
In that period he was the club's director of football, its legal director, secretary, and technical director.
He is a qualified solicitor specialising in sports law and has worked in a number of law firms as well.
What will his Arsenal role be?
The Athletic states he will work closely with Edu and his background in law is part of what the Gunners are looking for from their new director of football operations.
Garlick will be expected to work on contracts at the Emirates Stadium.
He will also work with academy manager Per Mertesacker.

A statement from Arsenal reads: "Richard Garlick is joining Arsenal as Director of Football Operations.
"Richard, who is currently Director of Football at the Premier League and was previously Director of Football Administration at West Bromwich Albion, will join the club in the coming months.
"He will be a member of the Arsenal executive team and will be working closely with Technical Director Edu, Manager Mikel Arteta, and Academy manager Per Mertesacker.
"His responsibilities will include football operations in the first team and academy, all player contract management, and relationships with football’s governing bodies.
"Richard, a qualified solicitor specialising in sports law, has been at the Premier League since 2018.
"He was previously at West Bromwich Albion for eight years."
