Piers Morgan returned to breakfast TV on Sunday.
The opinionated host took to our screens once again nearly a year after quitting his previous job on Good Morning Britain, when he refused to apologise for comments made about Meghan Markle following her infamous interview with Oprah Winfrey.
The presenter divides opinion, some enjoying his brash style of no-nonsense news telling, while others would prefer him to be a little quieter.
Either way, his appearance on the BBC's Sunday Morning show still managed to cause a brief ripple of opinion.
Morgan jokingly asked presenter Sophie Raworth: "I haven't been on breakfast television for nearly a year.
"It feels weird but nice. And my one question for you is... Am I allowed to have an opinion?"
Who is Piers Morgan?
Piers Morgan, 56, rose quickly through the ranks of the newspaper world after starting at South London News.
In 1994, Morgan was made the editor of now-closed News Of The World by Rupert Murdoch at the age of just 29.
He left the role shortly after a falling out with Murdoch after the paper ran with photographs of Catherine Victoria Lockwood, the wife of Charles Spencer, leaving a private addiction clinic.
During his time as an editor, a number of his feuds with other personalities came out very publicly, including spats with Ian Hislop and Jeremy Clarkson.
Morgan then joined as editor of the Daily Mirror in 1995. He was sacked in 2004 after publishing pictures supposedly showing British Army soldiers abusing Iraqi prisoners.
But the photos were fake and Morgan was fired. Since then, Morgan's career has moved more into TV and he became a judge on the first series of Britain's Got Talent in 2007. His American show, Piers Morgan Live, lasted from 2011 to 2014 on CNN.
The presenter is also known for shows like Piers Morgan's Life Stories and Killer Women With Piers Morgan. He moved to ITV's Good Morning Britain and appeared on the show from 2015 to 2021.
What is Piers Morgan's net worth?
Born Piers Stefan O'Meara, the TV presenter and journalist now has a huge fortune estimated to be around £14million.
His hosting gig on Good Morning Britain reportedly earned him around £1.1 million a year - the same as Susanna Reid - while he's said to have been paid £1.44million a year for his Piers Morgan Tonight programme.
He is also reported to own a string of properties including homes in London, East Sussex and Los Angeles.
His Beverly Hills home is estimated to cost around £4.2million, while his London property is a Grade II-listed townhouse in the borough of Kensington.
Who is Piers Morgan's wife?
Morgan married Marion Shalloe in 1991 and the two had three children named Spencer, Stanley and Albert.
They divorced in 2008 and Morgan went on to marry journalist and daughter of former Tory MP George Walden, Celia Walden.
Piers' youngest child was born in 2011, named Elise.
