Soap fans are very excited about the fact that Owen Warner is going into the jungle for the new series of I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.

While he didn't appear on the line-up, Matt Hancock is all set to go into the jungle as a late arrival.

Ahead of the show starting, Owen was made joint fifth favourite to be winner of the new series, on odds of 16/1, the same odds offered for ex Strictly star, comedian Seann Walsh, who is expected to join Matt Hancock as a late arrival.

Owen gave fans a bit of early TV gold during Sunday's launch show, by being totally clueless at to who co-star Scarlette Douglas was. Scarlette was the fourth star to join the group but, as she got off the boat, Owen looked puzzled as Boy George whispered: "She's from A Place in the Sun," to, much to the hilarity of I'm A Celebrity viewers at home, Owen asked: "Whereabouts?” with George quickly clarifying: “No, like the TV show," as Scarlette got closer to them.

He already has a link to I'm A Celebrity, appearing as a guest on spin-off show Extra Camp last year. Owen is said to be very excited about the prospect of being on the show. A source told The Sun on Sunday: “Owen is so excited to be in the mix. He’s never done anything like this, and it would catapult his profile to a new level.

"His abs are on-point so he wouldn’t be shy about showing off his bod.”

Owen, who landed In Australia the same day as fellow soap star Sue Cleaver, enjoyed a brief romance with Geordie Shore star Chloe Ferry in summer 2021, with the two pictured above.
