Who is Michael Mosley: net worth of diet guru and is he a real doctor?

Michael Mosley has gained thousands of followers for his diet tips and health advice. The guru often shares his best tips to help people keep off the extra pounds, and lead a healthier lifestyle.

He's perhaps become best known for regular TV appearances on The One Show, a BBC podcast, as well as his production of a number of hit shows, including the BBC Two series Inventions That Changed the World hosted by Jeremy Clarkson.

But who really is the 66-year-old? And how has he gained a reputation for being the go-to dietitian for thousands around the country?

Who is Michael Mosley?

Michael is no stranger to the limelight. He is a British television journalist, producer, and presenter, as well as a former doctor.

He was born in India and attended boarding school in England from the age of seven. He then went on to study Philosophy, Politics and Economics at New College, Oxford.

He worked as a banker in London before deciding to make a career change, and study medicine, with the intention of becoming a psychiatrist. But after becoming disillusioned with the profession he decided to get into television.

Michael has worked for the BBC since 1985. He perhaps became best known for his appearances on the One Show, as well as programmes on biology and medicine.
