Who is Lucrezia Millarini? Dancing On Ice contestant and ITV news reporter

Lucrezia Millarini is stepping out of the newsroom and taking on an entirely new challenge - Dancing On Ice 2020.

The journalist and broadcaster is best known as a prominent ITV news presenter but she's now spending her Sunday nights on the channel's primetime show.

Lucrezia has been partnered with Brendyn Hatfield and has already shared her excitement about the competition.

Who is Lucrezia Millarini?

Lucrezia is originally from London, but studied Law at the University of Bristol.

She had planned to become a barrister, but shifted her focus to journalism after joining a radio station in Oxford.

Moving on from her radio career, she began working at ITN's digital team in London, where she reported for their rolling 24-hour news channel.

She then joined ITV News London as their entertainment correspondent, interviewing big stars including Stephen Spielberg, Dolly Parton, The Rolling Stones and the cast of The Avengers.

Lucrezia now presents the main ITV News programme at 6pm, as well as ITV Lunchtime News and ITV Weekend News.

She has reported on the births of two royal babies, and was a member of ITV's on-screen team for coverage of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding.

She lives in London with her husband and their dog, Milo.

Lucrezia is also a keen supporter of animal rights, and advocates for various charities including the Cats Protection League, The Humane Society, and PETA.

Dancing on Ice airs on Sunday evenings on ITV at 6pm.
