Who is Kain on Love Island? Casa Amor newcomer from Gateshead tipped to cause a stir

After waiting weeks for Geordie on this year's Love Island, one will make their debut on Monday night, when Casa Amor kicks off.

Geordies have been part and parcel of the ITV dating show since it kicked off in 2015, with Adam Collard now holding a record for the only contestant to go into the villa in two different series, firstly in 2018 and then again last summer and Gateshead's Amber Gill winning the show in 2019, alongside Irishman Greg O'Shea.

And this week there'll be some fresh Gateshead representation in the Love Island villa courtesy of Kain Reed, who is one of six lads heading into Casa Amor as the programme's infamous second villa returns to cause more trouble.

Casa Amor has a nasty habit of stirring up trouble on Love Island and, given that the new series, the show's second in South Africa, has been criticised by fans for being 'too boring,' fans are hoping it'll spice things up and give the new series a much needed kick start.

Kain will be seen in action for the first time on Monday's Love Island, when he and the other new boys join the girls in Casa Amor and six new female bombshells heading into the main villa.

Who is Kain Reed on Love Island?

Kain, 21, is an energy consultant from Gateshead. A keen footballer, Kain has played for Leam Rangers, with him netting a few key goals for the side.

Kain is going into Love Island with the backing of Geordie Shore star Kyle Christie and, looking at his Instagram, is also a keen model, having modelled for Red Star Clothing.

Talking about going into Casa Amor, Kain said: "£I’m excited because I want to see how strong the relationships actually are between the current couples, and if I can change them. I’m going in there to turn heads! I love a challenge in every aspect, whether it’s over a girl or a sport. I’m a competitive guy and I want to win!"

And then, issuing a warning ton the lads already in Love Island, Kaine, who describes himself as 'fun, charismatic and energetic' added: "They need to know that I’m on my way in and no couples are safe! I’m about to step on boys’ toes and turn girls’ heads."
