Justin Baldoni has been revealed to be the director, producer, and lead of Colleen Hoover’s bestseller It Ends With Us’s film adaptation.
The multitalented creative will play Ryle, a neurosurgeon with a “no dating” rule, alongside Blake Lively, who will portray Lily, a college graduate who moves to Boston, in hopes of opening her own flower shop.
Following the huge success of the book, Baldoni’s production company, Wayfarer, optioned the novel for an adaptation back in 2019.
But it wasn’t until recently that author Colleen Hoover revealed that he would star in it, too.
Hoover went on Instagram to share her excitement about Baldoni playing Ryle, saying: “When I first met Justin Baldoni, who is directing the film for us, I immediately wanted him to be Ryle.
“I just thought that he had what it takes to play that character. And the good news is; he’s going to be Ryle.”
