Who is Josh Kroenke? The Arsenal director working closely with Edu and Mikel Arteta

Arsenal have enjoyed one of their most impressive Premier League seasons this year, finding themselves in an intense title battle with Manchester City.

Mikel Arteta has been at the heart of the turnaround in north London from last season's top four heartache on the final day. The Gunners are level on points with Manchester City at the top of the table after 22 games, with a game in hand.

The atmosphere in the Arsenal fanbase at the Emirates Stadium itself has seen a drastic change, with the buzz at home games arguably the best it has ever been since the stadium's opening 2006. The club from top to bottom is on an upward trajectory and the anger toward against Stan Kroenke has lessened.

Kroenke was in attendance to witness the Gunners beat West Ham on Boxing Day - his first game in person since the pre-season friendly versus Orlando City - as he aims to oversee a first major title at the club since his takeover.

But many Arsenal fans would have noticed a different member of the Kroenke family who has been a regular at London Colney. Stan's son, Josh, has been an ever-present in and around the club, but who exactly is he?

Born in Missouri, Josh plays a key role in his father's multi-industry company across the Walmart family inheritance and Kroenke Sports & Entertainment. The Kroenke family are associated with nine sports and esports teams across the world, with Josh involved regularly in running the Denver Nuggets, Colorado Avalanche, Colorado Rapids and Arsenal.

In 2013, Josh was appointed as the majority shareholder as a non-executive director. Since taking up his role, a major overhaul of the relationship with supporters and the Kroenke has occurred, with Josh showing his personality on the Amazon documentary 'All or Nothing'.

"There's always going to be a bit of a transition period when you don't get everything correct the first time around," Josh said on the documentary that aired in 2022. "There will be bumps and you just have to be strong enough to withstand them.

"It was a very tough period (the European Super League incident in 2021). We knew we had upset a lot of people and it stinks. I understand that we have a long way to go to build back the trust with our fanbase but it's already started behind the scenes."
