West Side Story has a new adaptation in the works, with the Disney+ streaming service being home to the musical adaptation. The movie is directed and co-produced by Steven Spielberg and is the second feature-length adaptation of the 1957 stage musical.
The musical includes lots of singing and dancing so it'll be one to watch if you're a fan of these types of movies. The dance numbers are choreographed by Justin Peck.
The film received universal critical acclaim with praise for performances delivered by the cast, Spielberg's direction and the cinematography. The film received seven nominations at the Oscars and was named as one of the top ten films of 2021 by the National Board of Review.

Ansel Elgort plays lead male alongside Rachel Zegler who plays leading lady Maria. Arian DeBose plays Anita and Maddie Ziegler plays Velma in the star-studded movie.
