A new series Gaslit follows the lesser-known characters that were caught up in President Nixon’s Watergate scandal.
The series follows the attorney general John N Mitchell played by Sean Penn and his wife Martha Mitchell played by Julia Roberts, who was the first person to question Nixon’s presidency publicly. Mitchell, who’s Nixon’s best friend, must decide whether he has to be loyal to his wife or the President.
The first episode of the series is now out for UK viewers to enjoy. A new episode will be out every week, until the show finishes with the finale on June 12, which coincides with the 50th anniversary of the Watergate scandal.
