Germany made it to the final in the Eurovision 2022 song contest, which will air this evening (May 14, 2022).
Germany has previously won the Eurovision song contest twice in its history. Once in 1982 and the second time, in 2010.
In 1982 the country won the contest in Harrogate with Nicole Seibert singing the song Ein bißchen Frieden (A Little Peace). The second time Germany won was in Oslo, when Lena Meyer-Landrut won with Satellite.
According to the bookies Germany has a pretty low chance of winning in the grand finalwith odds of 200/1. But who is Germany's entry for the Eurovision contest this year?

Who is Germany’s entry, Malik Harris, in Eurovision 2022?
Malik Harris is Germany’s entry for Eurovision 2022. The 24-year-old singer has been writing songs on his guitar for over a decade and was born in Landsberg am Lech.
Malik Harris has a popular following with over 1.5 million monthly listeners on Spotify and is the first-ever German-American artist to spend over a week on a Times Square billboard in New York.
The singer has also supported international artists such as James Blunt, Alex Clare, Tom Odell and LP. Malik has spoken about his passion for music and how it stems from his family as his granddad was was an opera singer, his grandmother a pianist and his dad plays several instruments.
It’s safe to say that music runs through his family. Harris released his debut album last year, entitled Anonymous Colonist.

What song will Malik Harris sing at Eurovision 2022?
Malik will sing his song Rockstars at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022. Speaking about the song, Malik explained ‘’it’s a song that has incredible personal significance for me and offers a glimmer of hope in these difficult times, while also showing people that we’re all in the same boat."
The Eurovision grand final will be aired live from 8pm on BBC One and hosted in the UK by Irish actor and presenter Graham Norton.
