Denny McCarthy has made steady progress in his career since turning professional in 2015, with one of his biggest highlights being a T7 at the 2022 US Open.
In 2024, the American broke into the world's top 30 for the first time, helped by finishing runner-up at that year's Valero Texas Open, and he has continued to impress since, with particular highlights including T7 in the 2024 John Deere Classic, ninth at the FedEx Cup St. Jude Classic later in the year and T5 at the 2025 Genesis Invitational.
Spurring Denny on during his ascent on the PGA Tour has been his wife, Samantha.
Samantha Marzke was born on 5 March 1995 in Michigan and attended Lake Michigan Catholic High School before heading to Western Michigan University to study journalism, where she graduated in 2017. By that point, she had already begun dating McCarthy, with the pair embarking on a relationship in 2016.
After leaving university, Samantha began building a career in real estate, and joined Florida-based Illustrated Properties in 2018, initially as an administrative assistant. A year later, she became a realtor at the company, which specializes in luxury homes - a position she holds today.
Throughout that time, Samantha and Denny continued dating, before the pair got engaged in May 2023, with Denny proposing on a beach in the Bahamas.
In December that year, the pair married in Palm Beach, Florida, close to their Jupiter home.
At the end of 2023, Denny summarized his incredible year, which included an invite to the 2024 Masters, by writing on Instagram: "2023 has been a great year and its tough to put into words how amazing the last week has been to close it out. From getting married to the love of my life @samanthammccarthy, to getting my first @themasters invite in the mail. Doesn’t get much better. See you in 2024!"
Denny made the most of his maiden Augusta National appearance, finishing a highly creditable T45 and competing in the Masters Par-3 Contest beforehand. Alongside him as his caddie at the family-friendly event? His ever-supportive wife, Samantha.
