
Chris Stark shared a video of his emotional return to work on Tuesday, after announcing on Instagram a few hours earlier that he had been receiving treatment for testicular cancer.
The Capital Breakfast host, 38, said he was “effectively cured” because he was tested early. However, he urged men to go “check your balls” and visit the doctor if they spot symptoms of testicular cancer.
“It’s a tricky subject matter to talk about, but I’m willing to put my now one ball on the line here if that helps make that conversation less tricky for guys, encourages someone to check themselves and potentially saves a life,” he said.
Who is Chris Stark?
Chris Stark was born on March 12, 1987, in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire, England. He started his career at the hospital broadcasting radio service, Radio Northwick Park. He has since worked for Real Radio, Virgin Radio, BBC Radio 1 and BBC 6 Music. Stark is widely known for his humorous and personable presenting style, making him a favourite with listeners.

When was Chris Stark diagnosed with testicular cancer and when did he have his operation?
Stark’s Instagram post on Tuesday, March 25 revealed he had received his diagnosis “around a couple of months ago, after a routine trip to my local doctors”.
He said he underwent surgery “pretty quickly” and has since begun chemotherapy.
“Caught early, this cancer is so treatable,” Stark said. “My hope is any bloke reading this will perhaps think to check themselves today. Or go to a doctor if not sure about any possible symptoms.”
Symptoms of testicular cancer include a lump or swelling in your testicle, an enlarged testicle or pain in your testicle, back or lower stomach.
