Popstar Chesney Hawkes is set to deliver a half-time performance for Wales and England fans at tonight's World Cup clash at the Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium in Al Rayyan.
The 51-year-old is best known for his smash hit single 'I Am The One and Only', which topped the UK Singles Chart for five weeks back in 1991. And it is that song that he'll belt out this evening.
Speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live on Tuesday, the singer said: "I'm excited to be here, I'm a massive football fan. I thought I’d give them the one song, my jazz solo record."

Appearing on talkSPORT on the morning of the match, he added: “They asked me to do it, what am I gonna say? This is the first stadium gig I've done in 30 years. I'm a little nervous, but I'm just more excited. It's just the one song and no guessing for what song I'm going to do. I could probably sing that song in my sleep.”
Hawkes is West Ham United fan, and is clearly throwing his backing behind the Three Lions tonight as they take on Rob Page's men in a Battle of Britain on Tuesday night.
Asked about England’s performance during the tournament so far, Hawkes added: "The first game was amazing, it wasn't the greatest opposition but I wasn't very impressed with the USA. It was a very boring game, but maybe he was playing for a draw and resting the players a bit. We have got to trust in what Gareth is doing here, he's obviously tried and tested."
Hawkes found fame at the age of 19 when he appeared in the film Buddy's Song, which featured his main hit which will be performed at the World Cup match this evening.
He married his American wife, Kristina, in 1997. They have three children and live in Los Angeles.
He has appeared on a number of reality TV shows, including Celebrity Big Brother, Celebrity Masterchef, Let's Dance for Comic Relief, Sing If You Can but had to pull out of Dancing on Ice in 2012 after fracturing his ankle.
