While Soccer Aid often attracts a flurry of celebrities and actors, it also invites former athletes and footballers.
Among these accomplished athletes taking part in the charity fixture this year is former American pro Carli Lloyd. Throughout her professional sporting career, Carli has gathered a vast amount of achievements under her belt.
She is a two-time Olympic gold medalist, a two-time FIFA Women's World Cup champion and a two-time FIFA Player of the Year. She will be joining the World XI team this year and will face off against the likes of Liam Payne, Gary Neville, and Jamie Carragher.

Throughout her two-decade career, Carli collected an astonishing 316 caps for the United States, and is pleased that she is retiring on her own terms.
Speaking about taking part in Soccer Aid Carli said: "For me to be able to dictate when I wanted to leave the sport, retire in the fashion I did, I don’t think many athletes get to do that. I’m so very grateful it was on my own terms and my own timeline.
"I was ready to move on. I’d put so many things on hold so to be able to have this second life and a new beginning, to do all the things I didn’t do and spend more time with my husband, family and friends, it’s been amazing.”
Carli added: "It was such a great opportunity to be able to go over and play for that team.” She is no stranger to playing in England.
Previously, Carlie spent a few months on loan with Manchester City to play the Women's Super League Spring Series in 2016, scoring in the final as City took the FA Women's Cup while helping them reach the semi-finals of the Champions League.
Now in its 11th year, donations from Soccer Aid go to Unicef with money used to help give kids the best start in life.
Soccer Aid for Unicef 2022 is taking place at the London Stadium at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford. The fixture has moved back to its summer date after taking place in September last year due to delays caused by the Covid pandemic.
Kick off is 7:30pm though the show starts a little earlier with plenty of build-up to the big match. Those who can't get to the match can watch it on ITV on Sunday, June 12, from 6.30pm.
