Taking place in Kansas City this Thursday, Friday and Saturday, NFL teams will be given the opportunity over seven rounds to select the players who they see becoming their next big stars. Richardson, known by college football fans for his impressive skillset and striking personality, has been tipped to be one of the most in-demand quarterbacks, with sides expected to be scrambling for his services.
But who is he? Mirror Sport has taken a look, so here's everything you need to know about a potential star of the future.
Where does he comes from?
Born in Miami, Florida on May 2002, Anthony Richardson grew up Gainesville and made a name for himself after impressing as a quarterback while attending Eastside High School. Receiving plaudits at every age level, Richardson decided to play college football at the University of Florida in his first step towards the NFL.
It was during his third year that Richardson began to shine for the Gators and racked up some eyebrow-raising statistics. Starting 12 games, he thew for 2,549 passing yards, registering 17 touchdowns and nine interceptions, as the team finished with a six-for-six record with him as their quarterback.
Richardson also impressed by running for 654 yards and racking up nine more touchdowns. After demonstrating strength beyond his years and boasting a big arm, he announced that he would enter the 2023 NFL Draft which drew attention to his name.
What's his playing style?
Blessed with all the necessary attributes needed to become an elite quarterback, Richardson has been described by analysts as a rough diamond. Likened to Buffalo Bills' Josh Allen, the 20-year-old recently attended the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, where college football players aim to impress coaches, general managers and scouts through a series of physical and mental tests.
Richardson turned heads when ran the fastest 40-yard dash time of all the competing quarterbacks, as well as jumping the highest and furthest at the Combine. Renowned for his throwing prowess, it was actually a stunning catch during his high school days which first got people taking - and the fact he enjoys a bag of skittles pre-game.
On his debut for Eastside High School, Richardson was played as a wide receiver and video footage captured him making a one-handed, Odell Beckham Jr-esque leaping catch which stunned viewers across the US. Four years on, his athletic qualities can still be summed up by that outstanding moment.
What's his personality like?
This is where it gets interesting. Despite only being 20, Richardson boasts some serious confidence. He has a tattoo reading "1 of 1" in a reference to his apparent unique skillset which gives him a high ceiling in the game.

Richardson also boldly told ESPN last week: "A lot of people say I'm a different breed. I always tell people I'm not from Earth. I'm gifted, I'm talented. I feel like God made me different, and I just try to use that in my daily life."
That's big talk for someone who's only started 13 college games. If he were to be selected in the opening round, Richardson would be tied for the lowest amount of college starts for a first-round quarterback draft pick, level with Mitch Trubisky, since 2002.
Teams up to the Carolina Panthers at No.1 are set to consider taking him, so watch out for a big entrance into the NFL.
