At the latest declaration stage there are 16 Champion Hurdle runners that include all the normal names including the last two winners State Man and Constitution Hill, but there was also a shock entry from Japan – a horse called ALL THE WORLD.
So, just who All The World – this surprise Champion Hurdle runner from the Far East?
All The World Last Seen Running Third In Tokyo High-Jump
The Tokyo High-Jump might have been an even at a past Olympics, but it’s also a horse race – yes, Japan also have jumps racing (apparantely).
This has now become apparent to UK and Irish horse racing fans as on the latest list of Champion Hurdle runners there was a strange entry from Japan called – ALL THE WORLD.
Trained by Kazuya Nakatake, who had a runner called Alice Verite in the 2024 Breeders’ Cup Distaff at Del Mar back in November. The horse finished fourth.
Nakatake is now switching his focus to the biggest jumps meeting on the planet as he tries to ruffle the feathers of Nicky Henderson and Willie Mullins, who have won 11 of the last 16 Champion Hurdles between them.
All The World’s Dam Is Epic Love
All The World is also owned by Shinji Maeda and sired by another Japanese horse called Kizuna, but his dam is former Pascal Bary-trained Epic Love, who was a Group Three winner in France.
The 8 year-old will be the first Champion Hurdle runner to come from Japan – and probably the first Festival runner full-stop to come from the Far East.
He was last seen in action running third behind June Velocity in the Tokyo High-Jump in October – which is one of Japan’s leading jumps races.
The best horse racing betting sites in the UK are making All The World a 100/1 shot in the Champion Hurdle.
While it’s not known if connections will opt for a UK or Irish jockey that knows Cheltenham, or stick with one of his regular Japanese riders.

Constitution Hill Heads The 2025 Champion Hurdle Market
The 2023 Champion Hurdle winner Constitution Hill had to miss his defence last season with a setback.
But he returned to the track with a facile win in the Christmas Hurdle at Kempton and is now the clear Champion Hurdle favourite with the best betting sites in the UK.
Arkle Novices’ Chase Favourite Sir Gino Still A Possible Champion Hurdle Runner
Trainer Nicky Henderson, who also has Constitution Hill, has given an entry to Sir Gino in the Champion Hurdle too.
The horse won the Fighting Fifth Hurdle at Newcastle back in November, but has since impressed over fences. at Kempton in the Wayward Lad Novices’ Chase (watch below).
Sir Gino also has the option of the Arkle Novices’ Chase on day one of the Cheltenham Festival, which is likely to be his preferred target.
You feel he’s only in here in case of a Constutition Hill setback or if his owners (Joe Donnelly), who won the race with State Man 12 months ago, opt to switch him back to hurdles.
2024 Champion Hurdle Winner State Man Expected To Be Back For More
The latest Champion Hurdle runners 2025 also see the current champ State Man entered.
However, this season he’s lost twice to Brighterdaysahead and will be on a recovery mission in his next race – the Irish Champion Hurdle if he’s to head to Cheltenham with any sort of a chance.
Top Mares Lossiemouth and Brighterdaysahead Could Also Still Running In The Champion Hurdle
The Champion Hurdle runners could also see top mares Lossiemouth and Brighterdaysahead going there.
Both would get the handy 7lbs mares’ allowance and are high class hurdlers in their own right.
Lossiemouth was second to Consitution Hill in the Christmas Hurdle, but many feel the stiffer Cheltenham track will suit her better than Kempton (watch below).
While Brighterdaysahead, who was runner-up in the Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle at the Festival last season has improved no end this term and taken the scalp of State Man twice already this season.
