Love Island announced they would be bringing back a former contestant as a bombshell in a twist nobody saw coming during the episode on Sunday, July 11. Adam Collard, who appeared as an Islander on series 4, will be returning to the villa on Monday, July 12.
Ahead of his entrance, the now 26-year-old, said: "I'm going to ruffle a few feathers when I go in." And in a teaser clip shared on Love Island: Aftersun, Adam can be seen chatting to Welsh paramedic Paige Thorne, Danica Taylor and Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu as he admits he's not afraid to "step on toes".
His late arrival comes following a turbulent few days. The villa was rocked by the Casa Amor recoupling which saw six contestants choose to twist and couple up with someone new.

The aftermath of the recoupling is still ongoing with Andrew Le Page and Jacques O'Neill still trying to make it up to Tasha Ghouri and Paige. Meanwhile, Dami Hope and Summer Botwe, and Jay Younger and Chyna Mills are at risk of being dumped from the villa after recieving the fewest votes from the public. You can read more on this here.
But who is Adam Collard on Love Island, what series was he on and who did he couple up with? Here's everything you need to know.
When was Adam Collard on Love Island?
Adam first appeared on Love Island in series 4, which aired in 2018, he famously coupled up with four Islanders, initially picking Kendall Knight, however, quickly dumping her for Welsh contestant Rosie Williams.
He went on to couple up with Zara McDermott, before recoupling again in Casa Amor, walking back in with Darylle Sargeant. Adam and Darylle were dumped from the villa on July 5, with Adam lasting 32 days on the show.
Adam and Zara ended up getting back together outside of the series, their relationship lasted for around eight months before they split for good and moved on with other people.
Zara is now with Made in Chelsea star Sam Thompson, and the pair take to Instagram every night to comment on Love Island. Zara's reaction to the shock announcement was posted on the social media platform.
As Love Island zoomed in on the new bombshell's abs, Sam could be heard saying: "Who's this guy? Who's this absolute animal?" He then pans to Zara and screams: "It's your ex boyfriend, no way!," as Adam's face pops up on screen.
Zara then screams and laughs in shock before holding her head in her hands. Sam captioned the post: "Can’t tell whether I’m excited or terrified."
