Who got fired on The Apprentice last night and when is the final?

Last night's episode of the Apprentice took an usual twist with Lord Alan Sugar voicing his disappointment at the contestants. Instead of the traditional firing where one candidate left, he lost two at once.

The unexpected turn will have an impact on the number of candidates in next week's episode. This, coupled with the unexpected exit of one of the other candidates earlier in the series due to health concerns, means that the final episode of this series will have less than five candidates.

After Thursday night’s episode, there are now just four people left in the running to be Lord Sugar’s next business partner- all of whom are female contestants. This comes after 10 weeks of episodes of The Apprentice this year.

Who got fired on The Apprentice last night?

In Thursday night’s episode of The Apprentice, two contestants left the competition in the semi-final episode.

The reason Lord Sugar said he had to do this is that both teams failed the task of making and selling baby food. Flights operations instructor, Aaron Willis, was the first to be fired by Alan Sugar this week.

This came after Lord Sugar decided that the failure of the task was down to Aaron, for making an unpleasant recipe for the baby food. The feedback from those Aaron's team was selling to highlighted that the food tasted bland, despite it being inspired by Moroccan food, which is famously known for its flavoursome spices.

The second person to leave The Apprentice in this week’s episode was finance strategy manager, Akeem Bundu-Kamara. Alan Sugar decided to fire Akeem on the opposing team as he was on the team that was responsible for the branding and logo of the business which at first glance appears to read ‘’first time dies’’.

This is the last thing parents would like to see when buying food for their children and so it lead to Akeem leaving the competition.

When is the final?

This year’s The Apprentice final airs next week on Thursday 24th March. The BBC has revealed that Claude Littner will be returning to the series after recovering from his accident to take part in the famous interview episode.

In this final, there will be online children’s store owner, Stephanie Affleck, online pyjama store owner Kathryn Louise Burn, desert parlour owner Harpreet Kaur and hotel front of house manager, Brittany Carter.
