American Idol viewers tuned in to see the next installment, but those who missed the show ask who got cut from American Idol?
The popular ABC series, hosted by Ryan Seacrest, who was recently replaced on Live with Kelly & Ryan, is celebrating its 21st season. And there's a new batch of hopefuls auditioning in front of American Idol judges, Lionel Richie, Katy Perry and Luke Bryan to be in with the chance of winning the show.
This week, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie will be replaced by Ed Sheeran and Alanis Morisette.
The acts were cut from 26 to 20 before being slimmed down to 12, 10 and now eight and these eliminations come after fans asked who dropped out of American Idol?As we look at who got sent home...
Who was sent home on American Idol?
Lucy Love and Nutsa were first to be sent home on American Idol this week, followed by Mary Beth Byrd and Tyson Venegas, as the contestants were narrowed down from 12 to 10 singers when they each had to perform songs from the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame and then from 10 to eight when they were given songs to sing by the judges.
They join some of the previously eliminated contestants including Kaeyra, Elise Kristine, Emma Busse, Haven Madison, PJAE, Dawson Wayne, Malik Heard and Elijah McCormick.
