Who Do You Think You Are? - Celebrities taking part in new series

Who Do You Think You Are? is back with another cast of famous faces looking to trace their family's history.

The two-time Bafta award winning show follows celebrities as they explore their past, often leading them to unexpected people and places. Series 18 starts on BBC One on Thursday 26 May at 9pm and will follow TV personality, Sue Perkins as she explores the German branch of her family tree.

Bury-born actor, Ralf Little will appear in the new series as he discovers his family's footballing legacy and finds he has a deeper connection to Manchester than he once thought. The actor starred in The Royle Family as Antony Royle and Jonny Keogh in the first six series of Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps.

Richard Osman, Matt Lucas and Anna Maxwell Martin will also trace their ancestor's footsteps in the new five-part series. After the first episode there will be a week’s break for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, returning on Thursday 9 June.

Colette Flight, Executive Producer for Wall To Wall, says: “Who Do You Think You Are? is back with another line-up of Britain’s best loved celebrities delving into their family trees, taking us from Brighton to Berlin, Manchester to Amsterdam, and Scotland to Lithuania.

"In an extraordinary array of stories they uncover a Victorian murder trial, personal tragedy, sporting triumph, and families fleeing for their lives and caught up in the tide of war. The stories are at once unique and universal - a reminder of our shared history and how it has shaped who we are today.”
