Who Dey Nation getting 86-year-old Bengals fans to Super Bowl 56

An 86-year-old Cincinnati Bengals fan who has been to every home game in the team’s history is going to another one: Super Bowl 56.

James Lipscomb’s emotional reaction to the Bengals downing the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game went viral.

Lipscomb’s daughter Linda Eschenbrenner recorded the heartwarming moment as her hid his face in a blanket.

“This is so awesome. How happy are you dad?” Linda asked.

“Oh God, I can’t stand it!” he said through tears in a video that garnered 5.5 million page views.

“I’ve been a fan of theirs for so long,” he told FOX19.com. “I went to their first Super Bowl game up in Detroit.”

The Bengals’ fans — Who Dey, Dey pretty much all over now — went to work to get Lipscomb to the game, where the Bengals will be at home despite being at the Rams’ SoFi Stadium due to it being an even-numbered year.

Donations soared to $42,000, so the family ceased fundraising.

Hey all!

After several people asking, we are trying to get grandpa to California to see the Bengals play in the SUPERBOWL!! All costs would go towards him and a caregiver to get to the game!! I know it is a big ask, but he is the biggest Bengals fan out there at the ripe age of 86!

My grandfather. He has loved this team since he scouted for them in the Paul Brown era. Had season tickets at Nippert. He has letters back and forth with Bengals brass over the years. I learned to who dey from him. This is pure love right here. He deserves this.

Lets get grandpa to the Super Bowl! WHO-DEY!!

We have turned off the donations at this time and are planning travel and ticket details for grandpa’s trip to THE SUPERBOWL!! Stay tuned for additional information and updates!
