Celtic are facing battles with some of Europe's best - and Rangers join them in the condensed Champions League group stage.
The elite level of club football on the continent sees its group stage phase kick off next month, with the draw taking place in Istanbul on August 25th at 5pm BST. Celtic won the Premiership last year to confirm their place while Rangers overcame PSV in the Netherlands to progress from the play-offs and join their arch-rivals.
Only three more spaces are up for grabs in this section after Benfica, Viktoria Plzen and Maccabi Haifa secured passage on Tuesday night. Celtic and Rangers will be in pot 4 when the draw is done and that means a meeting with some of the world's best. Liverpool, Real Madrid, Manchester City, Inter Milan and more are among the teams to potentially come to Glasgow as the city prepares to host as many as six glamour Champions League games that would bank both its competing clubs millions.
