A new self-titled comedy series is coming to BBC Three, Ellie and Natasia, named after the two women who wrote it. The comedy duo have been performing together for years and this is the first show they have written entirely for TV.
The show will follow the lives of Ellie and Natasia and is a hilarious takedown of the everyday sexism and beauty ideals women deal with. But who are the real Ellie and Natasia?
Natasia Demetriou was born in London and has an English and Greek-Cypriot family and Ellie White was born and grew up in Oxford. The duo have been working together for years on sketches and have also worked apart.

Included in Natasia's credits are the US mockumentary What We Do in the Shadows, which airs on BBC2 here in the UK. Ellie's credits include Timewasters and Murder in Successville.
Ellie is also known for playing Princess Beatrice of York in the Channel 4 sitcom The Windsors and also played the lead role of Cathy in the BBC series The Other One. Together, both Ellie and Natasia have starred in the Bafta-award-winning series Stath Lets Flats, which also starred and was co-written by Natasia's brother Jamie Demetriou. The show is a big comedy hit for Channel 4 and the pair also play on-screen siblings.
As well as their TV appearances the duo have also released sketches on YouTube, including their mini-mockumentary Revived. The pair met while studying at the University of Bristol and they were introduced by Jamie. From there, their friendship and comedy blossomed.
At the start of their comedy careers, both Ellie and Natasia worked as nannies, a job which has given them a lot of inspiration for the sketches in their new show. The first episode of Ellie and Natasia was released in 2019 and after it was celebrated by critics the BBC commissioned a six-part series.
Ellie and Natasia begins on BBC Three on Tuesday, June, 21 at 10pm.
