Who are Bobby Brazier's parents and when does he join EastEnders?

Bobby Brazier has announced that he will be joining the EastEnders cast. But many viewers may not know who his famous parents are.

EastEnders fans will know that the popular BBC soap has recently seen several new additions to the cast. They include soul singer Omar Lye-Fook, who plays Mitch Baker’s (Roger Griffiths) brother, Avery Baker.

Bobby will be making his acting debut by joining the TV programme. By doing this he is following in the footsteps of his parents who have both appeared on well-known television shows.

Who are Bobby Brazier’s parents?

Bobby Brazier is the son of late 2002 Big Brother star, Jade Goody and TV personality Jeff Brazier, 43, who is known for appearing as a presenter on shows such as ITV’s This Morning. Jeff Brazier and Jade Goody were a popular couple whilst together from 2002 to 2004 and they went on to have two children together. First, Bobby and then his younger brother Freddie, 17, a few years later.

However, in 2004 Jade and Jeff split. In 2006, Jade Goody entered a relationship with Jack Tweed, and the pair later married in 2009, the same year Jade died.

Goody died in 2009 after battling cervical cancer. Bobby was just five years old when his mother died. Now, at 19 years old, he’s venturing into acting by joining one of the UK’s most popular soaps.

When does Bobby Brazier join EastEnders?

Bobby is set to join the Albert Square clan this summer and is reportedly currently filming scenes set to air. This will be his acting debut as he will join the Slater family, playing Freddie Slater, son of Maureen 'Little Mo' Slater.

Brazier will carry on the storyline of Freddie, who was last seen as a toddler in 2003 after his mother, Little Mo was raped by her friend, Graham Foster. The mother and son left Walford after Freddie suffered from bleeding in the brain.
