A sprawling property along the exclusive stretch of Whitebridge often referred to as "Millionaire's Row" is set to hit the market this week with Belle Property.

Somerford, the five-bedroom, five-bathroom mansion at 21 Burwood Road, is expected to fetch a significant price after selling for $3.85 million in 2019.

It is listed for sale via an expressions of interest campaign with Brooke Degotardi and Jackson Morgan at Belle Property.

Expressions of interest close on September 19.

"It is hard to put a price on a property like this because these properties don't follow typical market trends," Mr Jackson said.

"You could try to estimate it by how much growth it has experienced since it was originally purchased but it will come down to the buyers and what they are willing to pay.

"I feel that in Whitebridge and Dudley, you can confidently say this type of property sells for an emotional price."

A preview inspection at the weekend drew 10 groups through the property and the first open house will be held on August 20 at 10am.

"The rarity and scarcity of houses along that strip coming onto the market means there are quite literally people waiting for property to come up on Burwood Road," he said.

"That applies to both out-of-area and in-area buyers that have been holding on for years and waiting for the right block to come up."

The house is on almost 2.5 acres and wraps around a resort-style pool area with a spa and bushland views.

One of the home's distinctive features is the chef's kitchen with a design inspired by Dutch abstract artist, Piet Mondrian.

It was the first in Newcastle to win both the Master Builders Association and Housing Industry Association kitchen of the year.

The kitchen has black marble benchtops and high-end appliances including two dishwashers and a Liebherr split fridge/freezer.

A second fully equipped kitchen on the ground level services the pool area.

Four bedrooms are upstairs, including two with ensuites and a spa in the master bedroom.

The home is fitted with smart technology to control everything from pool light colours to automated blinds via an iPad.

It is also energy efficient, with a 23kw solar system and two Tesla storage batteries.

"What is special about this one is it is the only house on Burwood Road that faces toward the north," he said.

"The natural sunlight is second to none, it is beautiful all day round because of that aspect.

"It is very private and has 10,000 square metres of land that is completely useable as well which is rare because a lot of the blocks along Burwood Road are sloping."

The median sale price of a house in Whitebridge is $994,000, according to CoreLogic.
