The White Sox named Frank Menechino as their new hitting coach. | White Sox

The White Sox named Frank Menechino as their new hitting coach Thursday, replacing Todd Steverson, who held the position the last six seasons.

Menechino, 48, spent last season as hitting coach at Class AAA Charlotte, his first as a coach in the organization. He spent five seasons (2014-18) on the Miami Marlins major-league staff, including three (2014-16) as the assistant hitting coach and two (2017-18) as the hitting coach.
