U.S. aid to Ukraine is set to take the spotlight this week as the U.S. House of Representatives reconvenes following a two-week recess. Ukrainian President has attributed recent losses to a lack of assistance, prompting President Joe Biden to escalate efforts in a meeting with congressional leaders. Discussions will involve a Senate bill, which includes $60 billion for Ukraine, that House Speaker has yet to bring to a vote.

The Pentagon and national security officials are urging House Speaker to allow a vote on the bipartisan Senate bill. The White House is intensifying pressure on House Republicans to pass the additional aid, emphasizing Ukraine's critical need for resources, particularly ammunition.

National Security Advisor has called on House Speaker to promptly address the aid package, highlighting the detrimental impact of delayed assistance on Ukraine's ability to counter Russian aggression. The White House stresses that every day without adequate support for Ukraine benefits Putin and jeopardizes Ukraine's stability.

President Biden has consistently underscored the importance of the $60 billion aid package for both Ukraine and U.S. national security. Recent battlefield losses in Ukraine have been linked to congressional inaction, prompting warnings of continued setbacks if the aid is not provided.

While the White House's influence is limited, it continues to exert pressure on House Republicans to advance the aid package. President Biden has reaffirmed U.S. support for Ukraine in private conversations with allies, underscoring the urgency of addressing Ukraine's needs to counter Russian aggression effectively.
