President Donald Trump’s national security adviser Michael Waltz expressed the White House's frustration with President Volodymyr Zelensky and the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict. In an interview, Waltz mentioned that there is a significant level of frustration within the administration.
Waltz highlighted that Vice President Vance and the Secretary of Treasury, who traveled to Kyiv, shared the same sentiment of frustration. He also noted that President Trump has been vocal about his frustrations regarding the situation.
When asked about the possibility of reconciliation between Trump and Zelensky, Waltz expressed optimism, stating that he believes it is achievable. He emphasized Trump's affection for the Ukrainian people.

Waltz revealed that he has been in regular communication with Zelensky’s national security adviser and emphasized that the US has been actively engaging in dialogue to facilitate a peace deal.
Referring to diplomatic efforts, Waltz mentioned the concept of shuttle diplomacy, explaining that engaging with each side separately has been more effective than attempting to bring all parties to the table simultaneously. He emphasized the importance of a structured process moving forward.
