White House border czar Tom Homan recently addressed the successful execution of President Donald Trump's proposed plan for mass deportations. Homan emphasized that the effectiveness of the plan hinges on the financial support provided by Congress for immigration efforts. He acknowledged the need for realistic expectations regarding the deportation of all immigrants who entered the country illegally, as previously suggested by President Trump.
Homan highlighted the critical role of congressional funding in achieving the administration's immigration goals. He stated, 'My success is going to be based on what Congress gives us. More money, the better we're going to do.' The border czar also confirmed that military flights for deporting undocumented immigrants will continue on a daily basis.
Regarding the involvement of the Department of Defense in deportation operations, Homan noted that while previous administrations had received assistance, the current level of support represents a significant enhancement. He described the military's role as a force multiplier that sends a strong message about border security.
Homan indicated that the frequency of military flights and the scope of deportation targets are expected to expand gradually. He explained, 'You can see the numbers steadily increase—the number of arrests nationwide—as we open up the aperture. Right now, it's considering public safety threats, national security threats. That's a smaller population. So we're going to do this on a priority basis as President Trump has promised.'
As the administration broadens its focus, Homan anticipates a rise in nationwide arrests. He emphasized that the deportation strategy will prioritize individuals based on public safety and national security concerns. The gradual expansion of enforcement efforts aligns with President Trump's commitment to strengthening immigration policies.
