A White Christmas could be on the cards, with the Met Office issuing a yellow weather warning for snow and ice.
If you are hoping for flurries of the wintery weather this festive season, your luck may be in. Temperatures have been mild in recent days after a cold snap saw Glasgow chill as low as -8C earlier this month.
But freezing conditions are expected to return, with forecasters issuing a warning for snow and ice in the coming days. Parts of the country will be hit with the cold snap yet again on Christmas Day and Boxing Day, with West Dunbartonshire amongst the areas covered in the Met Office warning.

On Sunday, December 25, blustery show showers are expected to hit, with 5-10cm of snowfall possible in some places.
Strathclyde will experience the wintry conditions between 9pm on Christmas Day and 6pm on Boxing Day- December 26 - forecasters have said.
It means that road conditions could become dangerous, with travellers warning to take care when making journeys. Icy conditions could also make paths slippy, with bus and train services also potentially impacted. So those nipping out for a festive stroll, walking home on Christmas night or hitting the road on Boxing Day should be cautious.
The Met Office also warns there is a small chance of interruptions to power supplies
The Met Office forecast reads: "Strengthening west-northwesterly winds will bring increasingly frequent wintry showers to the west of Scotland through Sunday night and into Monday morning.
"These may fall as snow to low levels for a time where temporary accumulations of 1-3 cm are possible, with 5-10 cm of snow over the hills. Icy surfaces will be an additional hazard.
"Strong to gale force winds bring the risk of drifting and blizzards for upland areas, with a small risk of isolated power outages as the snow and strong wind affects power lines."
