The Queen is latest member of Royal Family to test positive for Covid-19

The Queen is the latest member of the Royal Family to test positive for Covid-19.

The breaking news comes after her son Prince Charles tested positive for the virus.

The monarch who is understood to be triple-vaccinated is currently experiencing mild cold-like symptoms and is expected to continue light duties at Windsor this week.

The number of Royal Family members who have had Covid rises to six.

Before The Queen, Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, were the most recent members of the Royal Family to test positive for Covid-19. News of this was broken with an announcement on Valentine's day that Camilla was self-isolating.

The Duchess of Cornwall, 74, tested positive for Covid for the first time just days after the Prince of Wales contracted the illness for a second time.

A Clarence House spokesman said: “Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cornwall has tested positive for Covid-19 and is self-isolating.

“We continue to follow government guidelines.”

Camilla is triple vaccinated, sources said.

“We continue to follow government guidelines.”

Sophie, wife of Prince Edward, did not test positive for Covid but self-isolated in October 2020 after coming into contact with someone who had.
