While Married At First Sight (MAFS) primarily focuses on the romantic connections made through the experts’ matches, the friendships built amongst the cast also play a ‘yuge role in the show’s entertainment value. But do these friendships survive post-ouch couch?
Every season, our brides and grooms usually build friendships that (most of the time) last longer than the romantic relationships they make on the show. A great example of this are Season Nine’s Domenica Calarco and Ella Ding — who are unfortunately no longer besties, BUT did make an impact as a dynamic duo.
So which cast members from MAFS 2025 are still friends after the show? Let’s find out…

Which MAFS 2025 contestants are still friends?
We’ve just gotten wind of which MAFS 2025 contestants are still mates and which ones are at odds.
You’ll be happy to know that the bromance between Jeff Gobbels and Dave Hand is still alive and well.

According to the MAFS Funny Podcast, hosted by Joshua Fox, there are three major friend groups amongst our 2025 brides.Fox identified the three major groups as the “core four, the plus ones and the rejects”.
“At the centre of everything, we got the core four and that is Jamie [Marinos], Awhina [Rutene], Carina [Mirabile] and Rhi [Disljenkovic],” Fox began.
“On the outer circle of the core four… We’ve got the plus ones, and there you’ve got intruder Beth [Kelly], who seems a little bit more aligned with Awhina and Jamie given the fact that I’ve seen her hanging out with them more on TikToks and present-day stuff. And then you’ve got Ashleigh [Ackerman] and Katie [Johnstone], who as far as I can tell are friends with everyone but they’re not as necessarily close with everyone mostly given the fact they left the experiment so early.
“And now we have the rejects. The ones who aren’t in the group chats and the ones who aren’t invited to the big catch-ups like that Valentine’s Day lunch that I rocked up to. As far as I’m told the biggest outcasts of this season are Jacqui [Burfoot], Lauren [Hall] and Sierah [Swepstone].”

Fox went on to say that polarising 2025 participant Morena Farina also kinda falls into the category of the “rejects”, but notes that she is still connected to some brides. As for intruder bride Victoria Cloherty, the podcaster says she left the experiment with only one tight friend, which is Carina.
However, what’s interesting about this tea spill is that Fox claims that none of the brides are too bothered about who they are hanging out with, despite Wednesday night’s Dinner Party, where we saw Carina and Jamie’s friendship implode after Carina failed to defend Jamie from Lauren and Clint during the Couple’s Retreat.
“Interestingly, I’m also told about this year’s female friendships is that no one is necessarily making people take sides or whatever, like we seen in previous casts,” Fox added.
While Fox claims Jamie is over the major blow-out fight she had with Carina at Wednesday night’s Dinner Party, the fan-favourite bride told PEDESTRIAN.TV she believes Carina isn’t “really interested in having friendships with the cast”.
“Carina, I’m sure if there’s like a pap photo or something, she might be there, or a girl’s reunion, she might be there. But you know, she’s not someone who reaches out or checks in or anything like that,” Jamie dished.
Look, as long as we don’t have to endure another Dom and Ella breakup, I’m happy.
Married At First Sight returns Sunday on Channel Nine and 9Now.
