Love Island Australia‘s finale episode for this year’s sizzling season has rolled around, giving us a new King and Queen of the Spanish villa.
We’ve got a text… Australia and Love Island fans officially have chucked their votes in on who won this year! The winners are… TYRA AND KALE!!!! IT’S WHAT THEY DESERVE.
As someone who typically avoids reality TV dating shows, I would say Love Island Australia is the only exception. It’s spicy, it has the Sophie Monk as a host and I love, love, LOVE when bombshells drop into the villa to shake up the game.
Although it has its flaws — such as the typical toxic behaviours from some contestants and the lack of body diversity — I still find it a fun watch.
This year’s season features a bunch of ~interesting~ characters, including a sister of a 2023 Married At First Sight bride.
Unfortunately, like last year, this season did not feature a cheeky Casa Amor moment (boo, tomato, tomato) so if the Love Island Gods are reading this, please do us all a favour and bring that segment back!
Now that the finale is upon us, here are all the Love Island Australia couples from the 2023 season and where they are (or rumoured to be) now.
Tyra and Kale
The two are definitely this year’s hottest couple on Love Island. Similar to 2022’s winners, Claudia and Austen, who are still dating to this day.
Kale and Tyra weren’t immediately together. For a while, Kale was coupled with Nakia but he was eventually dumped from the villa when she chose to recouple and explore her connection with the all-American Andy.
Kale only returned after he went on a surprise date with Tyra. After their secret rendezvous, Tyra brought Kale back to the villa as her new boo-thang. Since then the pair have grown a huge connection and have established themselves as the hottest binches of Love Island 2023.
As per So Dramatic!, Kale and Tyra might’ve made it beyond the lights, camera and Spanish sun. The reality TV gossip podcast reported that an anonymous source spotted the pair sharing a burger at this year’s ARIAs. An insider also told the podcast that they were spotted at the airport together on November 16.
Lucinda and Zac
Lucinda and Zac were the first couple to officially put all their eggs into one basket. Earlier in the season — when they spend a night in the hideaway together — Zac and Lucinda professed their love to each other and it was all rainbows and flowers.
Unfortunately, it came crashing down during Love Island‘s movie night, where Zac was caught talking quite badly about Lucinda mentioning that she needed to be “trained” and all that icky stuff.
However, it seemed like the pair have overcome trouble in paradise and secured a spot in the final three.
But the real question is, did their relationship last outside of the villa? According to Daily Mail, paparazzi captured photos of Zac and Lucinda making on in the UK after filming was done for the show.
A friend close to Lucinda said that she didn’t think she “would leave the show with somebody like Zac”.
“He ticks all the right boxes and she’s besotted,” the unnamed source told the publication.
Although that news sounds all good and awesome, a source recently spilled to So Dramatic! that Zac was spotted being “flirty” at a 50 Cent event alongside fellow Love Island bloke Trent.
However, in a statement to the publication, Zac denied the allegations of ~flirty behaviour~ post-Love Island.
Anyways, here’s a pic of Zac and Trent at the event.
Savannah and Clint
These two were late bloomers as Clint arrived to the villa as one of the last bombshells of the 2023 season.
The pair hit it right off and were immediately attracted to each other, but in all honestly, I wasn’t buying what they were selling. But on top of that, I am happy that Sav finally found someone in the villa.
Unfortunately, rumours have swirled that they did not make it beyond the show.
On social media, Love Island fans claimed that Savannah is now with a man named Aiden. So Dramatic! also reported that Clint allegedly had a girlfriend who dropped him off at the airport for Love Island.
JINKIES.
Chloe and Reid
After being dubbed the “bomb diffuser” of this year’s Love Island, Reid officially settled down in the villa with ex-ballerina Chloe. Unfortunately, the pair were booted off Love Island by the Superfans, missing out on the all-exciting grand finale.
Soon after they exited the villa, the pair confirmed to 9Entertainment that things were o-v-a-h.
In the interview, Chloe believed that they parted ways due to their different intentions of joining the show.
“Reid and myself didn’t really speak about anything, we just walked away,” she said.
“We probably had different motives why we went on the show. I joined the military so I focused on that, and his focus was his modelling and acting.”
However, Reid claimed the breakup was “more my decision”. The math ain’t matching amongst these two.
Georgia and Nate
Despite being entangled in a messy love triangle with Trent, Georgia and Nate had the potential to be the hottest couple in the villa alongside lettuce and tire.
After they were exiled from Love Island after being the “least compatible couple” the pair went their separate.
BUT LOVE ALWAYS FINDS A WAY, BABY.
In an exclusive interview with 9Entertainment, the pair confirmed that they’ve rekindled their Love Island love.
“Our journey is definitely not finished, we’re definitely together,” Georgia told the publication.
“We just fit back like a glove – it was so easy.”
TBH, they should’ve replaced Sav and Clint in the final three.
Nakia and Andy (and Harmony?)
Stick with me on this one ‘cos it’s a bit of a doozy.
Nakia hooked up with Andy after he dropped in as a bombshell. Her decision to couple with Andy ultimately caused Kale to be single, dumping him from the villa. Later on he was brought back via the power of love — AKA Tyra.
Although the pair seemed quite set on each other, Love Island‘s final bomb Harmony shook things up between the pair and it immediately became a love triangle situation.
In the end, all three were yeeted from Love Island after Andy decided to stay single in the final recoupling ceremony.
Beyond the lights, camera and action, it is rumoured that Andy and Nakia didn’t rekindle what they had in the villa following the triple dumping.
So Dramatic reported that Nakia is dumped by Andy “towards the end of the experience”.
A secret source who spoke to So Dramatic‘s Megan Pustetto said, “[Nakia] left Kale for Andy and then Andy didn’t want her in the end”.
During the grand final, Nakia and Andy revealed that they hooked up in their hotel rooms and Harmony said they denied it when she asked them before the show. Awkies.
Which Love Island 2023 contestants were sent home?
Ollie was the first islander to hit the road. Soon after, Kirra — MAFS‘s Bronte‘s sister — was evicted. Benny Boy, who seemed to be a fan favourite, was also booted. Tia and Ryan left together, Kale was evicted during a brutal recoupling when Andy picked Nakia but eventually returned for Tyra.
Aidan was evicted after he was left single. In a double elimination bonanza, Seb was unfortunately evicted after he was voted out by the “Top Three” Love Island girls, which were Tyra, Nakia and Lucinda.
The “Top Three” boys — Andy, Kale and Nate — eliminated Abby, which is truly BITTERSWEET. Other contestants who were also sent home include Trent, Tasia, Nakia, Andy, Harmony, Georgia and Nate.
If the Love Island Gods are reading, please bring back Casa Amor.
Thanks and ilyy.
