Rachael Blackmore has a favourite's chance of winning the Cheltenham Gold Cup for the first time today.

The Tipperary jockey is on A Plus Tard in the big race of the day and looking to go one better than last year when finishing behind stable Minella Indo.

Here's what BetVictor ambassador Blackmore thinks of her three rides on Gold Cup Day:

Gua Du Large in the McCoy Contractors County Handicap Hurdle - 2.10pm - 25/1

"My day gets started with Gua Du Large in the County Hurdle, he won well at Fairyhouse the last day when beating Glan by a neck staying on really well at the finish. He can be a bit keen so hopefully he settles. I imagine we will take our time here and hope we get the splits towards the end of the race and do our best work late."

Shantreusse in the Albert Bartlett Novices' Hurdle - 2.50pm - 11/1

"Next up is the Albert Bartlett where I ride Shantreusse he is a really nice horse and I think he is going to run a big race here. He stays really well and seems to have traveled over to Cheltenham well. He was a good winner of a grade three at Clonmel last time out, the recent rain won’t be an issue for him and hopefully he will be there towards the finish."

A Plus Tard in the Boodles Cheltenham Gold Cup - 3.30pm - 11/4

"Finally, my last ride of the week is a big one with A Plus Tard in the Gold Cup, the aim is to go one better than we managed last year. He ran a fantastic race back in 2021 and arrives here having been very well at home. He ran really well at Leopardstown last time out in the Savills Chase, I don’t think my ride that day was one of my best I didn’t get him into a great position during the race, hopefully we can get a better position here and can go one better than last year!"
