Which Big 12 schools have never won a national championship in football?

The Big 12 is a conference of the haves and have nots. Two of its most decorated teams in Texas and Oklahoma are set to move to the SEC by 2025 at the latest, if not earlier.

It’s a conference on the brink of collapse, one that could be ushered in sooner rather than later thanks to the relative lack of championships since 2005. Compared to the Big Ten and the SEC, it’s clear the Big 12 has been lagging behind the other major powers in the college football landscape.

Still, it’s not all hopeless, especially if teams such as Oklahoma State and Baylor continue to build strong teams. Here is how the Big 12 stacks up in national championships, starting with the schools that have yet to win one.

National champions in: 1950, 1955, 1956, 1974, 1975, 1985, 2000
National champions in: 1938
National champions in: 1963, 1969, 1970, 2005
