I spent last weekend campaigning across the North of England and the Midlands with fantastic Labour activists determined to re-build our country.
And what struck me instantly was how much the people I spoke to on the doorstep had in common with the voters that we need to win back in Scotland to deliver a Labour government.
For years, Nationalist politicians in Scotland have tried to claim that the people of the so-called Red Wall and the people of Scotland have nothing in common.
But what I heard on the doors was almost the same as what I hear day in and day out across Scotland.
These are ordinary working people who are concerned with the cost-of-living crisis, the state of our NHS and the opportunities available for their children.
Whether you live in Glasgow or Blackburn, Aberdeen or Bolton your bills are going up and you are not getting the support you need.
It is all too clear that the Tory government is as out of touch with the people of the Midlands and North of England as they are with Scots.
This is a broken government mired in sleaze that is doing nothing to deliver for the working people of Britain.
We need to pull our country together and build a better future for the people of Britain.
And this Thursday, people across England have the chance to send a message to the Tories that their time is up and change is coming.
More doctors and nurses, safer communities and action to bring down the cost of living – these are only some of the changes that Labour can make.
So, this Thursday, vote Labour for a better Britain and send the Tories a message that change is coming with Labour.
