Ohio State and Notre Dame will conclude the 2024 season in the College Football Playoff national championship game on Monday night, squaring off in Atlanta to decide the victor of the first 12-team playoff field.
But where will future national champions be crowned? So far, host sites have been announced for CFP national title games through 2030, with a change on Monday as Tampa will now host the 2029 national championship game, which was originally slated to be held at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
Next up is Hard Rock Stadium, which hosted the national championship game in 2021 and will once again in 2026. The 2027 national championship will be held in Las Vegas, the first time Allegiant Stadium has hosted a CFP title game, followed by New Orleans in 2028, where LSU completed its 15-0 season in 2021.
Tampa has also previously hosted the championship game in 2017 and will once again in 2029. Miami will host for a third time in 2030.

We don’t know what the playoff format will look like by the end of the decade, and further expansion to 14 teams (or more) remains in the realm of possibility. But at least one thing is set in stone when it comes to the immediate future of the sport.
