Where to watch Avatar ahead of The Way of Water cinema release

After 13 years, the hotly anticipated sequel to Avatar has finally been released in cinemas. Avatar: The Way of Water continues writer-director James Cameron’s vision that began all the way back in 2009.

Starring Sam Worthington as human-turned-Na’vi Jake Sully, The Way of Water follows his newfound family on the moon of Pandora. It explores the trouble that follows them, the lengths they go to keep each other safe, and the battles they fight to stay alive, as an old enemy returns with unfinished business.

After the immense success of Cameron’s ground-breaking first installment – which became the highest grossing film ever made – the visionary Hollywood filmmaker soon announced several sequels, with the first releasing in cinemas on Friday (December 16).
