The return of Emirates A380 has been accompanied by considerable public interest. Understandably, as it will be the first time the world’s largest commercial passenger aircraft has flown since September 2019.
The event will be sure to bring many celebrations amongst aviation fans and plane-spotters, which is why Glasgow Airport has issued safety measures and advice for members of the public for March 26.
These will ensure the safety of visitors and minimise congestion on both the airport's road network and surrounding areas.

Viewing of the aircraft’s arrival and departure will be limited to specific areas around the perimeter of the airfield, as a result the airport have released a map which indicates where will be best to view the arrival of Emirates A380.
It is important that the number of private vehicles travelling to the airport is managed as parking will be limited. In light of this, Glasgow Airport is offering visitors six hours free parking at its Long-Stay Car Park, which can be accessed at Abbotsinch Road.
There will be no waiting or parking permitted on any of the airfield’s perimeter roads – Barnsford Road, Abbotsinch Road and Walkinshaw Road.
Airport access gates around the perimeter fence must remain clear of people and vehicles for access by the emergency services.
Glasgow Airport wrote "We want you to enjoy the event and have provided the following information which will help make it a positive experience for everyone."
The inbound flight EK027 is scheduled to arrive at 12:45pm, with outbound flight EK028 departing at 14:35.
