Where to see the King and Queen in Canberra today

Canberrans will be able to catch a glimpse of Their Majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla today.

The King and Queen will attend events at Australian Parliament House and the Australian War Memorial as part of their official visit to Australia.

It is the King's first visit to Australia as Sovereign, and the first visit to Australia by a reigning monarch since 2011.

Where to see them

Due to timing, and travel logistics, it will not be possible to attend both events.

12.35pm: Canberrans can meet Their Majesties as they make their way to the For Our Country memorial at the Australian War Memorial western grounds and Sculpture Garden.

1pm: Catch a glimpse of Their Majesties at Parliament House. Formalities will begin with a Ceremonial Welcome, followed by a chance to meet The King and Queen on the Parliament House forecourt at 2.10pm.

Catch a free shuttle bus

Free shuttle services will run every 15 minutes prior to the King and Queen's anticipated arrival times. Return shuttles will also run afterwards.
